.:: Biography ::. The group emerged out ofthe prayer group Wspolnota Krolowej Pokoju (Queen of Peace Community; created in 2000), which till this day organizes and runs adoration prayer meetings, devoted to the Body of Christ, during the last Saturday of the month - inspired by similar in Međjugorje - in the church in Lomianki. Such a prayer meeting is called Upper Room. The group was originally meant to provide musical setting to those meetings.
Thanks to the favor and openness ofthe Parish Priest in Lomianki, the group was allowed to continue performing this task and also granted the assistance ofthe clergy. The first meeting has taken place in August 2000, and the tradition has not been broken ever since.

Hanię Olszak - viola (graduate of Fryderyk Chopin Academy of Music in Warsaw), Andrzeja Słowikowskiego - keyboards. In June 2001, the group started to provide musical setting to the Saturday Upper Room (Wieczernik) meetings in Sanctuary of Sorrowful Mother in Obory. Encouraged by the participants of those meetings and individual priests, and also feeling the need to popularize Marian hymns,
the group decided to publish their music. Although most of the members were amateurs
without any connection in the musical industry. Lord blessed them with the help of several
friendly people under whose guidance the group produced and published their first album Adoration Songs (Piesni Adoracyjne) - this CD was distributed mostly during the group's performances.
The group still serves during the monthly Upper Room meetings in the sanctuary in Obory
In September 2004, new members joined: Regina Bociek - vocals, Wioletta Matysiak - vocals. Then, Beata Morka and Ryszard Morka both on vocals -joined in 2006. Guest musicians often included: Boguslaw Powichrowski - violin, Marta Nurzynska - vocals, Monika Matusiak - vocals, Lucjan Sokolowski- vocals, Janusz Murawski- vocals.. ![]()
In May 2004, the group has started to perform during the prayer meetings in the church in Czerwinsk. Under the guidance of father Tadeusz Pawluk a repertoire has been developed to meet the needs ofthe participants of those spiritual meetings. Upper Rooms at Marian Shrine in Czerwinsk.
As a result, the group's second album was published - entitled Jesus, Mary -I love You, save the souls! (Jezu, Maryjo kocham Was, ratujcie dusze!)
The album was promoted by the same-titled single, and the
distribution started on 2 June 2007.
The group has performed in numerous towns and cities, including: Gluchow, Konin, Kolo (Sanktuarium Matki Bozej Ostrobramskiej), Siedlce, Konstancin-Jeziorna, Lomna, Rozanystok, Međugorje (2003 and 2004), Tichalin, iroki Brijeg and in Czerwinsk during the visit of father Jozo Zovko in June 2006.
The group has also had the privilege to serve during the first Upper Room meetings in Gietrzwald, Konstancin-Jeziorna, Wola Gulowska and in Zawada near Zielona Gora.
The group is still interested in providing help to those who wish to organize Wieczernik meetings in their respective parishes. Musical scores, programs, friendly advices - all this can be provided to help fellow musicians to serve during their local Upper Room meetings. We wish and hope for our group to progress
and introduce many more songs praising the Lord and Virgin Mary. |
